Text Box: The York Region Real Estate Board was established in 1957, as the York County and District Real Estate Board, incorporating as a non-profit corporation under provincial law, in 1967. The present name was adopted in 1973, to conform with changes in local government structures. The Board’s jurisdictional area encompasses 14 municipalities and is an area assigned by the Ontario and Canadian Real Estate Associations of which we are a Member Board. It includes all of York Region and portions of Simcoe County and Durham Region. It extends from Steeles Avenue, north to Highways 89 and 50 in the west, including Alliston, and to Highway 12, at Beaverton in the east.
